how much does it cost to cut and weld two truck frames?
I need a rollback wrecker with a crew cab. The prices i'm seeing for a decent truck are absurd. $16k. However, I can get a great F350 heavy duty crew cab truck with no bed for $3,500. I can get a broke down wrecker with a 21' bed for $2,000. What will be the cheapest and most durable method of cutting and putting the two tegether, or could i just take the bed off and swap it to the other truck?
so how to I add a jerr dan bed to a pick-up truck and still pass inspection?
If your planing to use it for commercial use you'll never pass inspection with a welded frame, plus its a really bad idea, as truck frames are hardened steel and will degrade around the weld becoming brittle, and you can guess what that means.
I have an old truck that has a lot of back DMV fees. If taken to wreckers would I still be liable for fee's?
Truck has not been registered and no non op was filed. It has not been operated on any streets and is registered in California. Any one having experience with a similar situation on how not to have the fees eventually collected from me you're thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
The fees are back registration and late penalties. I was not planning to reregister the truck as it was for parts so it has not been on the road since expiring.
When did the registration expire? Were any fees posted in between registration years? Did it go through DMV-FTB collections? Was it ever parked on the street and received a parking citation? If you take the vehicle to a licensed dismantler, the vehicle is junked out on CA DMV records and normally there are no back fees. Licensed dismantlers are exempt from back fees.
