Trista Sutter and Country Time Lemonade Welcome Back Summer
Is this a good cross country running time for me?
I'm a sixteen year old girl and I have been training for cross country for about a month and a half now. So I've been running 3 miles for the duration of 27 minutes, which means I have been running 9 minute miles. Is this a good time? or should I step it up a bit?
Oh and I'm 5 foot 2 1/4 and 107.5 pounds.
If you can run that fast in practice on your own, you should be able to run a little faster for the races. You're also pretty small by the sounds of it, so I wouldn't worry because as you run more, you will become a stronger runner. Your body will adapt as time goes on and you will progress into a better runner no matter where you started. I wouldn't try too hard in your own practices. Once you start real practice with your team, you will get a feel for how fast you need to run.
As for right now, you're good to go.
Outsourcing to a foreign country
Outsourcing to other countries has been a growing tendency to make our countries and industries enterprise applications in the last decade. Outsourcing is defined as the practice of having functions of some work outside the company rather than having a department or company employees to manage. These functions can be outsourced either an individual or another company within or outside the United States. More and more companies large and small have been outsourcing to grow your business and be more successful.
Many large companies like DuPont, General Electric and Wachovia have outsourced jobs to other foreign countries in the last decade as well. Some of the most important tasks are outsourced These countries include communication services, information services, enterprise applications, and specialized manufacturing to name a few. Outsourcing has become very attractive for such renowned companies and led to outsource more and more each year. Foreign countries with low wages, production and energy costs are prime candidates for outsourcing, and many companies have benefited from these low cost.
India, Mexico, China and Japan considered the four key when it comes to the outsourcing of our nation. Since many companies have realized the drastic reduction in costs if they choose to outsource to a foreign country, businesses are closing their factories in the United States and opening elsewhere. This creates a great impact in the economy of our nation and is causing many Americans to lose their jobs and the inevitable reduction of the quality standard for these companies. The average worker has seen his work at the U.S. plant to be completed and sent abroad to a country, time and again overseas and can not do something. A company that has chosen to outsource the jobs will save a lot of money in the long term, but is inversely affect the workforce of our country and the economy.
Outsourcing began to flourish in the 1990s under the presidency of Bill Clinton. In 1994, NAFTA (North American Free Trade) is introduced Clinton to finally trade routes open all countries. What appeared to be a promising step for companies of our country, unfortunately, took a turn for the worse for American workers. Shortly after NAFTA was implemented, many companies have decided to move their factories across the border in Mexico and Canada. Mexico and Canada have less labor and energy costs compared to U.S. companies have decided to take this opportunity. Many of the factory jobs that were offered continued U.S. workers are now outsourced to another foreign country, and negatively affect the economy U.S.. Any company, large or small, which may now be able to outsource the work to another country and be able to pay wages much least one foreign worker. Many companies have decided to adopt outsourcing, and that many Americans unemployed. Our economy began to flow and the American was forced to live on minimum wages, while higher-paying jobs are outsourced to a foreign country.
There have been many negative effects due to outsourcing companies depend in recent years. Companies seem to care about the welfare of their business and not focus on how they affect the world around them. Despite all the risks and setbacks, outsourcing to a foreign country always be an attractive solution for many companies. Companies are more likely to choose to send jobs to other countries to take advantage of lower labor costs and energy that keep your business fully in the states. Such an action many Americans of losing their jobs, but the company will make more money than it would in the U.S.
Another major issue of outsourcing has increased steadily over the years has to do with the type of jobs that these companies are sending overseas. When a company decides to outsource certain jobs, which often develop a foolproof plan that will enable them to overcome obstacles. Call centers are assigned to a foreign country is one of the main obstacles a company may face. Many Americans who call an information society about a product or need help installing some problems with the person answering the phone. Many computer companies have their call centers in countries that use very strong accents, and more difficult for the client to communicate with the person. This barrier was a major problem for businesses and consumers were not satisfied with the service center phone comes attention. This is just one of the companies have faced many problems in recent years with the outsourcing, and they need to develop better strategies to overcome these barriers to success in the future.
