1960 Ford Starliner Commercial

Where does the power steering fluid go on a 1960 Ford Starliner?

That car has a huge engine bay which is totally uncluttered with modern day emissions crap and you have to have very poor eyesight or be severely mechanically challenged not to see the power steering pump the instant you open the hood. If it has a 292 or 352 V8 engine, the power steering pump is mounted on a bracket in front of the driver side head. If it has a 223 inline 6-cylinder engine, the power steering pump is mounted on a bracket which sticks out on the front driver side of the engine. There is a large obtrusive cap on the top of power steering pump reservoir. Just twist it counterclockwise and lift it off to check or add power steering fluid. The cap has a short dipstick on it and is marked to measure the fluid level. The power steering pump on that was factory filled with Type F automatic transmission fluid but you can substitute any Mercon Type automatic transmission fluid. If you have any problems, just give this information to a 3rd grader and ask him or her to help you.

Aluminum Christmas trees and a walk-memory!

Now I'm officially an adult, I find myself walking in the way of memory, more than ever. I am also more aware of how our world has changed since we were children rushing to McDonalds for the first time in our city. You could buy a hamburger for only 15 cents! Such as hamburgers, many things we enjoy for years are no longer with us.

In high school, my friends and I are waiting for Friday night. Four children, with our haircuts and dovetail, Jimmy Smith, Chevrolet accumulate Jimmy in 1957 and go to training local movie theater.

We park on the right lines 3 and 4 at the rear of the concession is that we might see some single women, as it was to get a popcorn and Coca-Cola. We thought we were working at the time as we would race to the concession stand to try to understand the girls who we thought were worthy of our attention.

Sometimes during my teenage years late, aluminum Christmas tree has become a trend that my parents thought it would solve the problem of persistent drought needles on the ground. Until then I always cut the forest Christmas tree was just a mile from our house.

My first year of college, I remember coming home for Christmas, horrified to see a massive deployment of bright strips of aluminum foil in the form of a tree, standing in a corner of the room. I was surprised when I saw that occupies the space that had been a devoted flavors of freshly cut cedar.

God thank you, we came and went in fashion in just a few years, then moved to the tree false green bottles of spray that is guaranteed to the smell of freshly cut cedar or pine.
What happened to test models of TV that suddenly appears in the display on the stroke of midnight? Curiously, there is something comforting to insomniacs who are listening to the properties page from the picture tube, as if contained the secret of the universe! It is quite possible that did, but whatever his message, which went over my head.

There were some things that were way ahead of their time, which seems incomprehensible that are gone. At a time when people really loved his cars, Studebaker was in a class by itself.

While my friends proclaimed the joy of owning your '57 Chevy and Ford, Studebaker Starliner my 1953 was my pride and joy! This car seemed to go fast even when standing! In addition to being a Super Car, which distinguishes it from the rest of the crowd. Not everyone had a Studebaker!

Do you remember the Coca-Cola 105? When I was a child of the summer, I walk to the grocery store just a mile from the house, pulling me Flyer red behind me. I would buy a can of Coca-Cola and a block and a half of ice.

I had spread the sides of the car 6 inches higher than I could chip up the ice and poured into the car, then I lay the bottles of Coca-Cola in the bed of ice. I walked a mile to a development housing is being built near the city. There, in the heat of Alabama to sell Coca-Cola if tired carpenters, masons and painters 15 cents each, or two per quarter. I sold every day.

Many of us think that 25 cents per gallon of gasoline was too to spend on fuel. There's a song in a country that has been written by someone who was obviously a philosophical genius. The line I remember is always "When gas was 25 cents per gallon, love was only 50 cents off."

What happened the flashing, Timmy and Lassie, Bryllcreme, Ozzie and Harriet Show and metal ice trays of ice that is breaking or causing the lever to fold. Everyone remember Burma Shave signs on the side of a road two lanes. Where did all these things? Wherever they are, I'm bored!
